Paella with seafood

Rice - 600-700 g r

Tomatoes - 2-3 pcs.

Olive oil - 1/4 cup

Shrimps - 500 gr

Garlic - 1 clove (optional)


Mussels (or molluscs) - 600 g r

Green Peas - 1 can

Onions - 1 pc.



Red pepper - 1 pc.

Green pepper - 1 pc.

Saffron - 1 tsp.

Water - 2 lts

Kalmar (rings) - 300 gr

Boil shrimps in salted water. In another saucepan cook the mussels in boiling water for 5 minutes, until it open. Filter the broth for cooking the mussels and mix with the broth from shrimps. Add saffron. Pour into a pan an olive oil, heat the pan, add finely chopped onion, sauté over low heat, add chopped garlic. Peel tomato from the skin, cut into cubes, diced green sweet pepper. Add kalmar rings, dry a bit. Put the rice, fry for 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Pour the broth, bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for about 20 minutes, adding more broth if necessary. Do not stir the rice. Put the shrimps before 5 minutes until doneness. Cut lengthwise red bell pepper, sprinkle with chopped parsley, add the mussels and green peas. Before serving cover with foil, in 5 minutes dish can be served.
